RBA governor confirms bank will continue buying government bonds until February – NEWS.com.au

Reserve Bank Governor Philip Lowe has said the bank will continue to buy government bonds until next February.

Sky News business reporter Edward Boyd said there was some speculation the RBA may start winding back its economic stimulus as the country is beginning to open up and the economy is recovering.

The bank has purchased $4 billion in government bonds each week, and they are set to do so until at least mid-February.
